Surfboards, one of the most quintessential American products, have been slammed by a wave of imports over the past few years. Some think that may have been a good thing for the industry. Regardless of where you stand on the issue it is something we have seen first hand in our local North Florida market. We all know local shapers and family owned shops here on the first coast and these guys have been dealing with this for years. How is it effecting us? If you notice in the video, they are using a CNC machine to cut out the boards at “Docs” shop…. So at the end of the day…. Who is making a better board???
